Five Poison copper Charm ND Good VF, Classic Chinese Charms-979. The obverse has images of five poisonous creatures, (1) snake, (2) scorpion, (3) centipede, (4) toad, and (5) spider. The reverse has an inscription in Chinese reading, wu ri wu shi, or "noon of the 5th day." This refers to the 5th day of the 5th month which to the Chinese of long ago was a very dangerous day.
