Egyptian Large Blue-Green Faince Nemset Vessel; New Kingdom, ca. 1567-1085 BC. A type of vase or lustration vessel usually used in ritual contexts such as the opening of the mouth ceremony. Large loop handles on either side for suspension. The lip is of wide flat form and the body a tapering shape with incised V chevrons to replicate a lotus petal design.
