ISLANDS OFF SPAIN, Ebusus. 2nd century BC. Quarter Unit (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.57 g, 10 h). Bes standing facing, holding mace in his right hand and serpent in his left. Rev. Bull butting left. ACIP 719. CNH 22. SNG Copenhagen 86-88. A sharp, clear and very attractive example with a particularly fierce Bes. Minor smoothing, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
