GAUL. Massalia. Circa 475-460 BC. Obol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.77 g, 9 h), Phokaic standard. Head of a griffin to right. Rev. Head of a roaring lion to right within incuse square. Auriol Group FF, 1-7 (unlisted dies). LT 500. Maurel 93. Rare. A nicely toned piece. Slightly porous, otherwise, very fine.
