SICILY. Entella (?). Punic issues, circa 345/38-320/15 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 16.97 g, 7 h). Head of Tanit-Persephone to right, wearing wreath of grain leaves, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; around, three dolphins; behind to left, symbol of Tanit. Rev. Horse standing to right; behind, palm tree with two date clusters; to right, kerykeion. Gulbenkian 368 (same dies). Jenkins, Punic, 89 (O31/R80). SNG Lockett 1039 (same dies). Fresh and lustrous, a superb piece. Virtually as struck.
