KINGS OF OSRHOENE (EDESSA). Waël, 163-165 AD. AE (Bronze, 22 mm, 7.61 g, 5 h). Draped bust of Waël to left within wreath. Rev. Temple with pediment seen in three-quarters perspective, within, cubic cult-object on a base supported by two curved legs; in pediment, star; all within wreath. BMC 2 and pl. XIII, 7. SNG Copenhagen -. A very well struck and exceptionally fine example with beautiful earthen highlights. Flan flaw near the edge, otherwise, good very fine.
