CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Suessiones. Circa 50-30 BC. Cast unit (Potin, 20 mm, 3.81 g, 1 h), 'au grand profil / cheval' type. Male bust to right with hair ending in annulets, within border of pellets. Rev. Celticized horse springing left with volutes around pellet above and X below; all within border of pellets. DT 216. LT 7870. SLM -. A very sharp cast with a lovely olive green patina. Extremely fine.
