CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Late 2nd to first half of 1st century BC. Stater (Electrum, 17 mm, 7.00 g, 11 h), 'à la roue' type. Celticized male head to right, the hair in long curls. Rev. Celticized horseman to right; before to right, triangle; below, wheel. DT 3179. LT -. SLM -. Very rare. A lovely and elegant piece. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
