CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Circa 80-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.89 g, 1 h), 'à la tête casquée - au torque' type. Helmeted head of Roma to left; before, pellet-in-annulet. Rev. Celticized horse galloping left; below, pellet-in-annulet above pellet-in-torque. DT 3191 (this coin). LT 5252 var. (differing symbols). SLM 555 var. (no pellet-in-annulet on the obverse). A rare variety. Beautifully toned. Good very fine.
