CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Circa 60-50 BC. Cast unit (Potin, 16 mm, 3.54 g), 'potin au cheval marin - au bandeu perlé' type. Stylized male head to left, the hair in the form of two strings of pearls. Rev. Celticized hippocamp in the form of a triskeles to right. DT 3203. LT 2935. SLM -. Rare. An unusually sharp cast with a lovely even dark patina. Extremely fine.
