ELECTROTYPES AND MUSEUM REPLICA. Vitellius, 69. 'Denarius' (Silver, 18 mm, 3.65 g, 6 h), reverse die by Luigi Cigoi, 1811-1875. A VITELLIVS GER IMP AVG P M TR P Laureate head of Vitellius to right. Rev. DECVR 'Vitellius' riding on horseback to right, holding spear; before to right, a soldier, holding spear and shield, falling forward; behind to left, another soldier advancing right, holding spear and shield. Brunetti, Cigoi 105 (for reverse). Beautifully toned. Nearly extremely fine.
