MOHAMED SAID VICE ROI D' EGYPTE / a crocodile on the bank of the Nile between two obelisks, pyramids and sphinx in the background, Arabic legend around, some minor edge bruising, good very fine, attractive rich brown patina. Mohamed Said Pasha became viceroy of Egypt on the death of his uncle Abbas Pasha, 16th July 1854, and governed Egypt until his death in 1863.
