Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria-Este was born on 18 December 1863 in Graz. Together with his wife Sophie, Countess Chotek, Duchess of Hohenberg, he was killed on 28.06.1914 in Sarajevo. This event is regarded as the trigger for the onset of World War I.
