ANCIENT ARMENIA: "Hormizd IV", 579-590, AR zawzan (3.66g), NM, year 10? Ner--, standard type of Hormizd IV, but with the denomination zawzan ("two zuz") in place of the mint name, and the date rather clumsily engraved (could be year 6), lovely strike, Extremely Fine. This type was struck either during the reign of Hormizd IV or more likely, shortly thereafter. It has only recently been convincingly assigned to late ancient Armenia, for which a lengthy discussion is posted for Zeno-35535. See also Zeno-105390 for an example dated year 6. The years are fictitious, presumably based on the prototypes.
