ARAB-SASANIAN: 'Abd Allah b. Khazim, 682-692, AR drachm (2.71g), "MRW" (Marw), blundered date, A-19, with triplet of pellets at 5h30 of reverse margin, cleaned Fine to Very Fine, RR. Clearly a contemporary imitation by the Hephthalites or their rivals, presumably for use both as local currency and for trade along the silk road. All of the Pahlavi inscriptions are at least modestly blundered, as is the Arabic bism Allah. A very interesting piece.
