TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (41.50g), Robinson-, 69mm, mythical hintha bird facing left, with tail rising above and holding a 3-leaf branch in its beak, 9 pellets below the beak & 7 pellets beneath the tail // stylized Burmese text, based on Robinson text B1, but with square Burmese letters; extra Burmese letters, one above the other, right of the legend, plus 5 pellets in the background, a couple modern light scratches behind the hintha's tail, fine style, boldly cast, choice AU, RRR. Still unpublished, the only two recorded examples appearing in our Auction 35, Lot 1867 and Auction 33, Lot 1009 (fine style).
