TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (38.78g), Robinson-, 71mm, mythical hintha bird facing left, with tail rising above and holding a 3-leaf branch in its beak, 10 pellets below the beak & 15 or 16 pellets beneath the tail // stylized Burmese text, based on Robinson text B1, but with square Burmese letters; extra Burmese letter to the lower right of the reverse, traces of at least one letter above the reverse field, fine style, one tiny natural casting flaw, EF to AU, RRR. Still unpublished, the only two recorded examples appearing in our Auction 35, Lot 1867 and Auction 33, Lot 1009 (fine style).
