Maluka is a private estate in southern Borneo founded by the Englishman Alexander Hare in 1812, acquired through a grant from the local Sultan. The state existed from 1812 to 1818. The coins were made at a mint in the state in 1812 and 1813. The state ceased to exist when the area was repossessed by the Dutch in 1818.
