"Guerrillero Heroico" (Heroic Guerrilla Fighter) is the most known picture of Ernesto "Che" Guevara, taken by Alberto Korda during the memorial service for the victims of the Le Coubre ship explosion. Ernesto "Che" Guevara was an Argentine-born physician, who joined Castro from the start of the Revolution, and became part of the Cuban government, until he decided to leave Cuba and join revolutionary movements, first in Africa, and later in South America. He was captured and summarily executed in Bolivia. His remains are deposited now at the Memorial complex in Santa Clara, with others that also died in Bolivia.
