Basso, Aldo P., Coins, Medals, and Tokens of the Philippines, Menlo Park, 1968, Chenby Publishers, 136 pages, hardcover, 1st edition, the information on "Coinage Under Spanish Rule" is very informative and the chapters on Medals and Tokens is the most comprehensive of any guide book. Long out of print and difficult to find, signed by the author with comments to H.K. Bowker, ex. H. F. Bowker Numismatic Library. Howard Franklin Bowker (1889-1970) was a numismatist and philatelist, collecting and specializing in Chinese coins, stamps and banknotes. He created the first bibliography of Western language publications on East Asian numismatics.
