Good rubbings throughout of the many, many varieties of the Kan'ei Tsuho struck by the government of the Tokugawa shogunate to standardize copper coins and keep up a sufficient supply of copper coinage from 1626 until 1868 during the Edo period, ex. H. F. Bowker Numismatic Library. Howard Franklin Bowker (1889-1970) was a numismatist and philatelist, collecting and specializing in Chinese coins, stamps and banknotes. He created the first bibliography of Western language publications on East Asian numismatics.
