PARTHIAN KINGDOM & others:LOT of 5 silver (3 Parthian & 2 Sasanian) and 7 copper coins (3 Parthian, 3 Seleukid, and 1 unidentified, all in poor to Good quality and of minimal value), from the old collection of Neilson Carel Debevoise (1903-1992), who published an important book in 1938, A Political History of Parthia; 11 of the 12 pieces with his original descriptions (not necessarily correct!); Silver coins: Parthian: Pakoros II (Fine, heavy adhesions), Vardanes II (facing bust, VF), and Mithradates IV (VF); and the Sasanian: Shahpur II (VG), and Khusro II (WYH year 38, VF); retail value $300, interesting group from the old collection: lot of 12 pieces.
