KAUSAMBI: Jyesthadatta, king, 1st century BC or AD, AE round (2.87g), Pieper-982 (this piece), male figure to left, Brahmi legend jyesthada (tasa) on right // Lakshmi standing, choice VF, RRR. This Jyesthadatta type was first published in BMC, pl.XLV, coin 10. Extremely rare, maybe a handful of specimens are known with no certain findspots. Kausambi attribution is tentative, but Ganges Valley origin is sure.
