ANTΩNIOC ΓOPΔIANOC C-EBATOC Radiate and draped bust of Gordian to right; in right field, triangular countermark of Δ-ο (mark of value). Rev. CEΛEYK-E-ΩN TΩ ΠPOC / KAΛY-KAΔΝ Athena advancing to right, holding shield with her extended left arm and preparing to hurl a thunderbolt at a serpent-legged giant who is kneeling to left and throwing stones at her. SNG BN 999ff. Cf. SNG Levante 764 (same obverse die). SNG von Aulock 5842 (same dies). For c/m, Howgego 670. A lovely example with natural light green patina and some earthen deposits as found. Very fine.
