Byzantine-style emperor standing facing, holding long cross in right hand and globus cruciger in left; to left, standard above T or rose; Λ/Є/O to right. Rev. A wonderful piece that is truly un-improvable. This cataloger has seen or handled many thousands of these coins, the majority of which are poorly struck and even more poorly preserved. Examples in good very fine condition are very scarce. Examples such as the present piece are once or twice in a lifetime.
