KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18.5 mm, 4.20 g, 1 h), Kolophon, circa 299/8-297/6. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛE[ΩΣ] ΛYΣIMAXOY Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his extended right hand, and scepter in his left; in left field, forepart of lion to left above Φ; below throne, pentagram. Müller 28. Price L28. Thompson 127. Toned and well-centered. Short flan crack and a few wispy scratches, otherwise, very fine.
