KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 17.08 g, 1 h), Sestos, 299/8-297/6. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY Athena seated to left on throne, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand, and leaning her left elbow on her shield; behind her, transverse spear; in inner left field, ivy leaf. HGC 3, 1750 corr (mint not listed). Thompson 27. A rare mint. Nicely toned and struck in high relief. Good very fine.
