KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.44 g, 8 h), struck under Seleukos I Nikator, as satrap, Babylon (II), circa 318/7-315. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ Zeus seated to left on a throne with ornamented back, holding eagle in his outstreched right hand and long scepter in his left; to left, monogram above grape cluster on stem; below throne, Z. Price P155 (as 'Arados' w/o royal title). SC CAd43.13. Nicely toned, dynamic rendering of Zeus on reverse, a beautiful coin. About extremely fine.
