KINGS OF PAEONIA. Patraos, c. 335-315 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 12.71 g, 8 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΠΑ-ΤΡΑΟΥ Paeonian horseman, wearing crested helmet and full armor, galloping to right and spearing fallen warrior; below horse's tail, kantharos. Sotheby's, "Paeonian Hoard," 184ff (same dies). SNG ANS 1032 (same obverse die). Struck on a very broad flan; toned. Good very fine.
