THRACE. Ainos. Circa 357-342/1 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.80 g, 12 h). Head of Hermes facing, turned slightly to right, wearing a flat petasos with a button at the top. Rev. AINION Cult statue of Hermes Perpheraios on throne to left; to left, kantharos. BMC 23. May, Ainos Group LXV, 440 (A268/R-). Extremely rare - apparently only a few examples with this symbol - toned, and of fine late Classical style. Good very fine.
