CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Pantikapaion. Circa 90-79 BC. (Bronze, 22.5 mm, 6.61 g, 12 h), struck under Mithradates VI of Pontos. Wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. ΠΑΝ-ΤΙΚΑ/ΠAΙ-ΤΩΝ Tripod and thyrsos; monograms flanking. HGC 7, 120. MacDonald 171. Dark brown patina. Pitting, otherwise, very fine.
