CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Pantikapaion. Circa 90-79 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 7.72 g, 12 h), struck under Mithradates VI of Pontos. Wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. ΠΑΝ-ΤΙΚΑ/ΠAΙ-ΤΩΝ Tripod and thyrsos; monograms flanking. HGC 7, 120. MacDonald 171. Dark brown patina. A little rough, otherwise, about very fine.
