AY K Λ CEΠ CEYHPOC Π Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. Y (AY) ΓAΛΛOΥ MAP-KIANOΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ Dionysos standing facing, head to left, holding kantharos with his extended right hand and long filleted thyrsos in his left; at his feet to left, panther to left, his head turned backwards to face the God of wine. H&J 6.14.8.2. Varbanov 746 (same obv. die as illustrated). Brown patina. Flan crack and minor porosity, otherwise, very fine.
