THRACE. Perinthus. Trajan, 98-117. Assarion (Bronze, 21 mm, 5.92 g, 7 h). (ΑΥT Κ)AI ΝЄ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟC CЄΒΑΤΟC (sic) Γ-ЄΡ Δ Laureate head of Trajan to right. Rev. ΠΕΡΙΝ-ΘΙΩΝ Dionysos standing facing, head to left, holding kantharos with his extended right hand and long thyrsos in his left; at his feet to left, lighted altar; in upper left field, star. RPC III 701. Schönert 352. Green patina. A few deposits on obverse and slighly off-center reverse, otherwise, very fine.
