THRACE. Perinthus. Domitian, 81-96. Diassarion (Bronze, 26.5 mm, 10.24 g, 7 h). ΑΥΤΟΚ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΔΟΜΙΤΙ-ΑΝΟΣ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡ Laureate head of Domitian to right. Rev. ΠΕΡΙΝ-ΘΙΩΝ Dionysos standing facing, head to left, holding phiale in his extended right hand, and long filleted thyrsos in his left; at his feet to left, panther to left, his head turned backwards to face the God of wine. RPC II 364. Schönert-Geiss 302-4. Varbanov 28. Dark green patina. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
