LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 330-290 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.96 g, 10 h), struck under the magistrate Atha.... Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to left; above leaf, pair of tongs; below leaf [AΘA]. BMC 107 (same obv. die). HN III 1583. Johnston Class C, 4.25 (same dies). Some horn silver on the obverse, otherwise, very fine / extremely fine.
