CARTHAGE. Circa 310-290 BC. Stater (Electrum, 18.5 mm, 7.50 g, 1 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing grain wreath, triple pendant earring and necklace of oblong pendants; in field to left, pellet. Rev. Horse standing to right; below exergual line, four pellets. Jenkins & Lewis Group V, 302 (same dies). A lovely example, toned, well-struck and of very good style. Good very fine.
From a Swiss collection, bought before the 1990s; the coin is offered together with its original handwritten envelope dated probably before the 1960s .
