KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28.5 mm, 17.07 g, 11 h), struck posthumously, Kalchedon, c. 260-230. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated to left on throne, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand, and leaning her left elbow on her shield; behind her, transverse spear; in the inner and outer left fields, monograms; at side of throne, club; in exergue, grain stalk. Marinescu -. Perfectly centered with a clear and strong strike, and lightly toned. Possibly unpublished. Good very fine.
