KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18.5 mm, 4.36 g, 9 h), Magnesia, circa 225-200 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; to left, two monograms; in exergue, maeander pattern. Cf. Price 2044-5 (unrecorded secondary control). Light die shift on obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
