LAKONIA. Lakedaimon (Sparta). Circa 90-60/50 BC. Triobol or Hemidrachm (Silver, 16 mm, 2.54 g, 8 h). Laureate head of Herakles to right. Rev. Λ-A Amphora, flanked by caps of the Dioskouroi surmounted with stars; ΔA monogram in the lower left field and ME monogram in the lower right field; the whole within laurel wreath. BCD Peloponnesos 872-3. Grunauer Group VIII, Series 14, 65-81 (dies not recorded). HGC 5, 613. Well-centered and attractive toning. Scuff on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
