IONIA. Miletos. Circa 340-325 BC. Drachm (Silver, 14.5 mm, 3.66 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrate Rhodios. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. POΔIOΣ Lion standing to left, his head turned back to right; above, eight-pointed star; Miletos monogram on the left field. BMC 66. Deppert-Lippitz 172-177. SNG Copenhagen 964. Fine style; nicely toned. Obverse struck from a slightly rusty die, otherwise, very fine.
