KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates I, 2nd half of 2nd century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 10.5 mm, 1.03 g, 11 h), Arkathiokerta(?). Head of Mithradates I to left, wearing bashlik; in left field, uncertain letter (off the flan on this example); in right field, Aramic P. Rev. Veiled and draped female bust to left, wearing headdress (turreted crown?). Kovacs 30, otherwise unpublished. Extremely rare and one of just a small handful known. Very fine.
