Jugate head of Tigranes VI, diademed and wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with three eagles, and his wife wearing Phrygian cap, to right; the whole, within ivy wreath. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ TIΓPANOY MEΓAΛOY The Tyche of Arados seated left on horizontal rudder, holding cornucopia with her left hand; in exergue, [TEK]. ACV -. CAA 161. Kovacs 200. Very rare, and with a dark green patina. Fine.



This coin, dated in the first year of the Roman-Jewish war in 66-67 AD, is the last record we have for Tigranes VI; his impact in history cannot be detected after this date.
