MIL, was the Hebrew name of the coin that was legal in Israel during the British Mandate, and then the official name of the coin in the State of Israel until 1952. Observe: Central hole with the date above in English and below in Arabic numerals; "PALESTINE" in English above, Hebrew to left, and Arabic to right. Reverse: Central hole surrounded by wreath of olive leaves, inscriptions around, "10 MilsS" in English, Arabic and Hebrew, with numeral 10 of the English phrase at top.
