Roman Imperial, Victorinus, Antoninianus - RARE

Rarer antoninianus of Gallic usurper Victorinus, minted in his Rhine capital, Colonia Agrippina (today's Cologne). Coins of Victorinus, the successor of Marius, who in turn reigned very briefly, after Postumus, the creator of the so-called Of the Gallic Empire, they were minted from a slightly better metal than the legitimate emperors of the time, Claudius II of Gothic and Quintillus. Victorinus ruled (as a usurper not recognized by the Roman Senate) for about 2 years, he was killed by the husband of the woman he seduced as emperor.

Rzadszy antoninian uzurpatora galijskiego Wiktorynusa, wybity w jego nadreńskiej stolicy Colonia Agrippina (dzisiejsza Kolonia). Monety Wiktorynusa, następcy Mariusza, który z kolei panował bardzo krótko, po Postumusie, twórcy tzw. Imperium Galijskiego, były wybijane z nieco lepszego kruszcu niż prawowitych ówczesnych cesarzy Klaudiusza II Gockiego i Kwintyllusa. Wiktorynus panował (jako nieuznawany przez senat rzymski uzurpator) przez ok. 2 lat, został zabity przez męża kobiety, którą uwiódł jako cesarz.
