SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird I (399-420 AD). PB (Lead) Unit (2.46 gm; 18 mm). Yazdgird bust with standard crown turning right, monogram of fire altar base with sun and the crescent moon in place of fire as well as a large dot in the back of the crown and another large dot on the body of the king, reverse, fire altar with attendants and two large dots on either sides of the fire. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Nice original find patina. Extremely rare monogram.
