Alexandre I, 1879-1886. Order of St. Alexander (2 badges). Created by Alexander I, Prince of Bulgaria, on December 25th, 1881, and named after the Russian national hero, St. Alexander Newsky. Third class badge in silver gilt and enamels, Ferdinand I issue, 2nd type with green enamels and a center adorned, with a gilded, crowned Bulgarian lion charged with a Saxon shield. With original neck ribbon. 50.4 x 95 mm. Together with the corresponding miniature badge in silver gilt and enamels, uniface, 15.5 x 32 mm. Total (2). Romanoff 113. AR 75 g. (with ribbon) & 3.3 g.
