The Paneuropean Union was created in 1926 after the First World War, to federate the european countries. This set of coins has probably been ordered by the Jean-Monnet Foundation, in Lausanne (Switzerland), which is the center of studies about the European Union. The coins show the euro symbol €, adopted by the European Commission in 1996 but initialy created by Arthur Eisenmenger in 1974 ! This set of coins was struck by the Official Italian State Mint (Zecca di Stato). Coins in capsule with the original box and certificate.
