This brooch comes from the inheritance of H. M. Victoria Eugenie, Queen of Spain from 1906 to 1931. As the Queen died in 1969 in Lausanne, her royal estate "Vieille Fontaine" was inventoried by Marcel Matthew. This decoration was listed in the inventory under Number 12, Décorations section.
