"Peacock" Mu (1/4 Kyat) CS 1214 (1852)-Dated MS66 NGC, KM7.1, Robinson/Shaw-11.4. A coin which flies in the face of expectation, not only as the most common variety for this small denomination, but also as a minor of this period surviving in practically flawless condition. Rarely is the trademark peacock rendered in this level of detail, even the features of the bird's face and the individual barbs of its feathers cut in full. It almost goes without saying that this exquisite minor is currently unsurpassed in the certified population, with only one other in the same grade yet seen across NGC and PCGS combined.
